This leather was hand picked by C&B's founder Thomas, right off the shelves of the Horween factory in Chicago, IL. When we bring to market vintage-style distressed leathers, they are always a big hit. This one will be no exception.
The Vintage Cognac leather is buttery smooth and will feel broken-in right from the outset. Despite being a mere 1.2mm thick (the same as our nylon NATOs), this leather is very strong and has only a minimal amount of stretch. This strap will continue to age incredibly, with the flexed and creased areas lightening up, and the rest of the strap darkening with age and wear.
Each strap is made by hand in the United States, including hand stitching using heavy gauge thread. This model is constructed in a standard NATO style. The backside of this strap is the unlined natural suede of the leather. It features stainless steel NATO hardware in Brushed SS or Black PVD.
Horween is one of the world's best-known leather tanneries. Founded in 1905, they are a 5th generation family-owned business. All Horween leather is processed, tanned, and dyed from start to finish in Chicago, Illinois.
