Braided nylon watch straps originated several decades ago [authentic vintage ones are very cool], and came of age in the era of rubber "tropic" straps, which share a similar vibe. They are commonly referred to as "perlon straps" in the watch world, since the material is a prominently woven pattern of wide nylon strands made from Perlon® fiber. They look right at home on modern and vintage watches alike, and are a great summer strap due to their thin, light, and airy nature.
Our new mélange nylon combines two thread colors within each strand of Perlon. This method creates visual dimension, and adds a distinct vintage flare to the strap. The Royal colorway combines 'navy' and 'teal' thread, a subtle playful twist on a regular navy strap.
The brushed adjustable-length stainless steel buckle is easily one of the nicest on the market. Each strap is ultrasonically welded to secure the material and prevent fraying. The buckle itself can act as a keeper, and there is an extra floating nylon keeper as well. The maximum length is 9.5"/240mm, but the strap can be shortened easily using the included adjustable ladder buckle to perfectly fit any wrist size.
