Chevron - Regiment

Crown & Buckle's exclusive Chevron™ straps are a game changer. There is nothing on the retail market quite like them. Chevron straps are adjustable length, single-layer (one layer under watch), and single-pass (no excess length to fold back) nylon straps. Key features include a unique nylon weave, precise ultrasonic sizing holes, a fully stitched tip, and 316L hardware finished to a high degree.

The original strap colorway James Bond wore in Goldfinger is high debated. Originally thought to be black with grey stripes, later digital enhancements have shown it to have red and green stripes, with a black or navy blue base color. The watch strap industry has largely adopted black instead of navy blue, likely since black matches more watches on the market. However, the theory that Sean Connery (a Scotsman) was wearing a Royal Scots regimental strap sure seems plausible to us. This strap uses the Royal Scots' colors of Oxford Blue, Peony Red, and Gosling Green. Let the debate rage on! 19mm, 20mm, and 22mm widths, with Brushed, Polished, and Black PVD hardware options.

Unique nylon weave: Not to be content with the C&B trademark Chevron diagonal weave, we've developed a new mixed weave that is more subtle and melded. The result is a gorgeous and visually deep nylon weave that invites you to study its depth, similar to a guilloché dial. The nylon is finished with precision: five ultrasonically cut & sealed sizing holes hold up to wear, and the fully stitched end tip prevents fraying (one of the toughest steps of production!).

Killer hardware: The angular keepers are specifically designed in height and width for use with the Chevron nylon. The adjustable ladder buckle, buckle tongue, and keepers are CNC machined from solid 316L stainless steel. The buckle has a natural curvature for comfortable wear. The Brushed hardware option has brushed top surfaces, with high-polished sides and facets. The Polished hardware option has high-polished top surfaces, and matte brushed sides and facets. This is a subtle detail, the high degree of finishing on each piece of metal is really a sight to behold!

Utmost comfort: As an adjustable single-pass strap, the Chevron wears wonderfully. Being a one-piece strap, it offers protection against the watch falling if one spring bar fails. However, it does not raise the watch off the wrist as much as two-layer straps do, and the buckle is centered underneath your wrist. With the length adjusted perfectly via the ladder buckle, there is no bulky strap "tail" to fold backwards or deal with. Simply tuck the end of the strap into the sliding keeper, and enjoy your Chevron strap.
