Crown & Buckle's exclusive Chevron™ straps are a game changer. There is nothing on the retail market quite like them. A hybrid between Perlon and NATO straps, Chevron straps are adjustable length, single-pass straps. Key features include Italian veg-tan leather, a matching leather lining, hand-dying, and 316L hardware finished to a high degree.
This Chevron leather colorway is Mahogany brown that is individually dyed by hand. The lining leather is also hand-dyed to match. 20mm and 22mm widths with Brushed hardware.
High quality leather: Finding great leather is difficult. Finding thin leather that is great is even harder. Luckily we came through with the Italian vegetable tanned leather we used on the Leather Chevron straps. Despite being only 1.3-1.4mm thick, the leather is very sturdy and has virtually no stretch. They will break in beautifully and conform to your wrist after a few days. Chevron Leather straps are lined: two layers of thin leather are combined so the top and bottom sides are both "finished" [see 4th photo]. Each strap is cut from un-dyed natural veg tan leather and then individually dyed by hand (expect some variance!).
Killer hardware: The angular keepers are inspired by our Supreme NATOs, now 0.3mm wider and with new height specs tailored for a single layer strap. The adjustable ladder buckle and tongue is CNC machined from solid 316L SS. The buckle has a natural curvature for comfortable wear. The Brushed hardware has brushed top surfaces, with high-polished sides and facets.
Utmost comfort: As an adjustable single-pass strap, the Chevron wears wonderfully. Being a one-piece strap, it offers protection against the watch falling if one spring bar fails. However, it does not raise the watch off the wrist as much as a NATO strap, and the buckle is centered underneath your wrist. With the length adjusted perfectly via the ladder buckle, there is no bulky strap "tail" to fold backwards or deal with. Simply tuck the end of the strap into the sliding keeper, and enjoy your Chevron strap.
Please note: Leather is soft and cannot be "pulled through" the spring bars or damage will occur. The lining in the area near the adjustable ladder buckle is Cordura, to add to the durability of the strap. That said, it is expected & inevitable that the leather near the buckle may get some minor scratches or scuffs on the surface as you adjust the length.
