Just sharing another kind review of the Defence NATO straps; our take on the "original" 1960s military nylon straps. Thank you, Rado, for the review and photos with your CWC watches!
"
I just received my Defence NATO yesterday and wanted to share my thoughts. Simply put, I don’t see myself buying any other NATO straps now. This is exactly what I have been looking for.
I’ve been trying to find a proper replacement for my Phoenix strap on my CWCs, but every alternative I tried missed the mark in one way or another: wrong color, wrong fabric, too short, or with bulky, overbuilt hardware. You have nailed it with this strap.
The low-clearance hardware is one of the standout details. Nothing looks worse to me than a big gap between the strap and the inside of the hardware. Your design wears more svelte, and it looks far better. The color is also spot-on, almost identical to the Phoenix it is replacing. The length of the keeper strap is just right as well. Phoenix keeps it short, which keeps the hardware close to the watch, while many other makers go far too long and create unnecessary bulk. You have struck the perfect balance here.
This has quickly become my new favorite strap, and it will be the only one I wear with my CWCs going forward. Job well done, and thank you for paying attention to the details.
Best,
Rado
